About Study Course

Objective

Gain an understanding of physiological changes during pregnancy (cardiovascular system, respiratory relevance, muscle and skeletal changes and other physiological changes during pregnancy). Learn the principles of contraindication and safety when exercising during pregnancy. Acquire knowledge of the need for physical activity during pregnancy and the importance of physical fitness in childbirth. Learn exercises to apply to a variety of physiological problems during pregnancy.

Test

Students should participate actively in seminars where their colleagues present the results of their own work. It is necessary to evaluate the presentations of colleagues according to the criteria set by the teaching staff, to ask valid questions. At the end of the seminar, an assessment of the presentation of colleagues shall be submitted to the teaching staff.

The exam is organised in two parts: part one test of theoretical knowledge, part two practical test – to be able to show exercise in different trimesters, strengthening and stretching them. The aim of the escort is to test students’ knowledge of what may and may not be performed in individual trimesters, as well as skills to manage the performance of exercises.
