About Study Course

Objective

To gain knowledge of the contemporary holistic approach to health issues, human functioning and functional impairment at different levels (body functions and structures, activities and participation), goals of physical and rehabilitation medicine in medical and social aspects.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of learning the study course, residents will: • be able to name and describe the goals, tasks, and human functioning of physical and rehabilitation medicine; • will be able to assess functioning disorders according to the International Classification of Functioning; • will be able to name the classification of technical aids and their selection principles; • will be able to name and describe indicators of normal posture and gait assessment.

Skills

1.As a result of learning the study course, residents will be able to assess the patient's functioning disorders.

Competences

1.As a result of successful completion of the study course, residents will be able to practically use the acquired knowledge and skills in the assessment of patients' health and functional disorders - they will be able to structure the information obtained in IFC categories, choose appropriate assessment tools (measurements).

1) At the end of the study course, the teacher evaluates the practical skills and competencies in a 10-point system, recording it in the resident's book. 2) Theoretical knowledge is assessed in a 10-point system, the assessment being recorded in the resident's notebook.
