Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.- to define conservative and surgical treatment indications in thoracic surgery for children of various ages. - to draft the examination and treatment plan for children with acute thoracic disorders. - to orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in pediatric thoracic surgery, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles. To learn: • detailed theoretical knowledge of emergency situations in thoracic surgery for children of various ages. • conservative and surgical treatment indications and use of surgical emergencies for children at various ages. • diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and treatment manipulations used in pediatric thoracic surgery, as well as for surgical treatment methods of practical use for surgically profiled pediatric patients. • to draft an examination and treatment plan for patients with acute and chronic thoracic organ illnesses.
Skills
1.- to determine indications for surgical treatment of thoracic cavity organs. - to carry out therapeutic surgical procedures for thoracic cavity organ illnesses (except the heart). - to designate quality post-surgical treatment for patients after thoracic surgeries.
Competences
1.- to provide qualified assistance to children of various ages with surgical thoracic cavity organ pathologies.
