About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.To define the tasks and practical organisation of infection control and surveillance of hospital-acquired infections in the hospital, recognise the most common causes of hospital-acquired infections and understand their resistance to antibiotic agents.
Skills
1.Will be able to assess the association of the isolated microorganism with hospital-acquired infections, analyse its distribution in the healthcare facility; analyse the epidemiological situation in the healthcare facility in case of an outbreak of hospital-acquired infections and define a set of measures to control and prevent them.
Competences
1.• to assess the potential risk of an outbreak of hospital-acquired and community-acquired infections; • to conduct an epidemiological analysis; • to formulate the necessary infection control measures.
