About Study Course
Objective
Strengthen the knowledge and practical skills acquired in the course, based on the professional skills, skills and competences defined in the standard of the “Nursing” profession for carrying out the tasks described in the work of nurses.

1.Strengthen the knowledge acquired in the “Nursing” study programme in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, in the provision of emergency assistance to victims, in the organisation of work and in the work of the team according to the standard of occupation.
Skills
1.Develop her nurses professional skills to perform the tasks described in the standard of occupation.
Competences
1.Will be able to apply professional skills defined in the standard of the nursing profession to the tasks of the nurse, assess the results and take decisions in the care of patients in different areas.

1. In placement, the student is guided by THE RSU Liepājas branch's Practice Regulations Regulations, the Qualification Practice Programme to realise the objectives and tasks in practice, as well as by the internal order of the relevant department.
2. In placement, a student fills out a Journal of Practice under conditions (see Practice Program)
3. The student works at least 40 academic hours a week (1 academic hour = 45 mins). Practice tasks, duration depends on the study plan.
4. At the end of the placement, the student shall submit the Practice Diary within 3 days of the completion of the practice (or at the earliest request) and two different care plans to the head of the study programme and complete a practice assessment questionnaire.

1. The student's activity in each part of the practice shall be evaluated by the placement manager.
2. Within three days of the placement (or at a faster time on request), the student shall submit to the study programme supervisor an appropriately formulated “Practice Diary” and two different care plans.
3. The head of study programme of RSU Liepājas branch, on the basis of the documents submitted, decides on the student's allowance for defending Qualification Practice.
4. A student shall be admitted to defending the Qualification Practice if:
a) 100% of the hours of practice are provided for in the study programme;
b) submits a timely “Journal of Practice” and 2 care plans;
c) has scored positively in each place of practice, that is to say, no less than 9 points corresponding to 4 balls.
5. The form of the final assessment of the qualification practice is to defend the practice by drawing up one of the “Care Plan” prepared by the student and by verbally defending it to the commission.
