About Study Course

Objective

Within the framework of the study course, students learn and apply functional capacity assessment methods in sports using digital technologies and data analysis. Students develop an understanding of an evidence-based approach and develop skills in the analysis of athlete performance and health.

Preliminary Knowledge

Anatomy, biomechanics and physiology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Identify and describe functional ability assessment methods and their application in sports. Characterize the biomechanical and physiological factors influencing sports performance. Recognize and describe the role of digital technologies in athlete assessment (GPS, force platforms, 3D motion analysis, etc.). Identify and name the applications of artificial intelligence in sports performance and injury risk analysis. Describe data analysis methods and apply them in sports science.

Skills

1.1. Applies digital technologies and sensors to evaluate athletes' performance. 2. Creates and analyzes individual functional ability profiles of athletes. 3. Utilizes data analysis and visualization tools to interpret measurement results. 4. Independently works with physiological and biomechanical measurement data. 5. Conducts in-depth analysis of opportunities to enhance sports performance based on collected data. 6. Prepares and presents evaluation results using digital tools. 7. Creates and edits athlete data analysis reports using modern technologies. 8. Employs artificial intelligence and big data solutions in sports analysis.

Competences

1.1. Analyzes and interprets athletes' functional abilities using digital technologies, data analysis, and biomechanical tools. 2. Develops sports training strategies based on obtained measurements. 3. Solves sports science challenges by applying evidence-based methods and technological solutions. 4. Interprets data analysis results and applies them in athlete preparation and development.
