About Study Course

Objective

To get acquainted with the methods of laboratory diagnosis of intrahospital and community-acquired infections, indications for use, importance in clinical practice and the selection of appropriate antibacterial preparations for the treatment of such infections.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.About the tests used in the diagnosis of intrahospital and community-acquired infections, indications for use, and evaluation of the results.

Skills

1.To practically perform the express tests used in microbiology, evaluate the antibioticogram and interpret the results of the obtained microbiological examinations.

1.To discuss the role of clinical microbiology in occupational medicine.
