About Study Course
Objective
To deepen the master’s students’ understanding of the research process of different types of research designs and to improve the ability to conduct independent research in accordance with the basic principles of research, to develop an understanding of the analysis of data generated by care research and the skills to apply appropriate statistical analysis and interpretation.
Preliminary Knowledge
Knowledge in the subjects of care studies, information science, statistics.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will know different research designs, characteristics and implementation specifics thereof in health care. The student knows the principles of sampling in care research and the methods of analysing the data obtained. The student knows the principles of interpretation of research results to determine the statistical and clinical significance.
Skills
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to evaluate different research designs, characteristics and implementation specifics thereof in health care. As a result of completing the study course, students will know how to prepare a scientific project (Master’s thesis) application; select the most appropriate research design, sample and appropriate statistical analysis method; interpret research results.
Competences
1.To substantiate and justify with scientific evidence the processes of care practice. Will be able to independently formulate a research question and choose an appropriate research design for practical research in the field of health care. Will be able to independently f answer a research question in the field of health care; acquire, select and analyse information obtained in research of health care problems in accordance with the basic principles of scientific methodology.
