About Study Course

Objective

Promote the understanding and knowledge of professional terminology of participants in the course, the skills to work with special literature and communicate in a foreign language in relation to the qualifications to be acquired.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge and skills of English/German, in accordance with the secondary education standard, at least at level B1.

To prepare and present a presentation on physical activity in the qualification using professional terminology in a foreign language

shall be evaluated according to 5 criteria, 1-2 points may be obtained for each criterion:

  1. criterion. Speech

student narrates presentation material - 2-point

student narrates and reads presentation material - 1-point

criterion 2. English/German

student English/German (grammar, pronunciation, writing) is correct - 2 points

in student English/German use (grammar, pronunciation, writing) are corrections - 1 point

criterion 3. Content

student presents physical activities related to his/her qualification - presentation of 17-20 min speech

is understandable, interesting, involving group members (questions, short quiz, etc.).

there are drawbacks in the content - 1-point

4. Visual presentation

presentation is properly constructed (there are no full sentences and paragraphs, high-visibility letter size, correct background, etc.) - 2-point

visual presentation has weaknesses - 1-point

criterion 5. In addition,

the slides are illiterated with relevant pictures, includes a 3-minute video in English/German - 2-point

slides are illiterated only with relevant pictures - 1-point.

The resulting points make a mark (e.g. 7 - mark 7).

In the introductory class presentation criteria are discussed, uncertainties, if any, are clarified.
