Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of learning the study course, students will be able to identify and formulate the basics of public health, health organization, and epidemiology. They know the internationally accepted basic values on which health policy is based, the foundations of health organization, the main international and Latvian health policy documents. Name the main risks of infection and opportunities for protection in professional activities in contact with the client.
Skills
1.Students will be able to classify public health priorities and evaluate the actualities of preventive medicine. Will identify the necessary provision of the professional aspects of the masseur in the organizational structure and management of the health care of the Latvian state. Will be able to formulate and discuss the consequences of environmental pollution, the interaction between the environment and the masseur.
Competences
1.Students will be able to evaluate the epidemiological situation in the context of the profession, based on current public health criteria concepts, comply with the requirements of the regulatory acts of the medical field in the professional field. Will be able to professionally organize their activities, according to the professional standard. Will understand the task of environmental protection - solving ecological problems in order to prevent environmental pollution, preserve human health, recognize the impact of environmental factors on human health and solve environmental health problems at their workplace.
