About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge on the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, course and basic principles of treatment of mental and behavioural disorders in children and adolescents; rehabilitation and prevention thereof.
Skills
1.The skill of diagnosing mental and behavioural disorders in children and adolescents in accordance with the ICD-10 classification by means of comprehensive evaluation of patient’s condition in dynamic change and respective reflection thereof in medical documentation; the skill of treating the patient, to develop an individual care plan for the patient by including the required examinations, medication therapy, psychological therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation, etc.
Competences
1.Competences to cooperate with a minor patient and their family in order to ensure a dynamic evaluation of the state of health and treatment results; in the organisation of inpatient and outpatient care, providing emergency and planned psychiatric help and rehabilitation for children and adolescents. To cooperate with other care providers, the child and their family members during the treatment process; educate them about the course and treatment of the disease; be aware of the limits of one’s professional competence.

The students must acquire:
1. Knowledge of the manifestations, development and course of mental and behavioural disorders of children and adolescents,
2. Skills in the diagnosis, assessment and differential diagnosis of psychiatric and behavioural disorders of children and adolescents,
3. Knowledge and skills required for the treatment of mental and behavioural disorders in children and adolescents, setting objectives and drawing up a plan in order to choose the most optimal treatment and prevention methods, taking into account biopsychosocial aspects.
