About Study Course

Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in oncology, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- assessment of oncological emergency conditions and oncological treatment plan drafting for adults of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases); - examination and treatment plan drafting for patients before planned operations in cases of various organ system tumors; - examination and treatment plan drafting for patients after various organ system tumor surgical treatment; - treatment plan drafting for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases) suffering from malignant disease affecting various organ systems and at various stages; - recognition of emergency conditions in oncology; - Institution of an analgesic therapy plan for various organ system tumor cases, various intensities and etiologies of pain syndrome. • Detailed theoretical knowledge about oncological possibilities and principles for various organ systems in cases of oncological illness for patients of various ages; • Oncological screening and diagnostic methods used for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases); • To prepare an examination plan for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases) suffering from malignant disease of various organ systems and stages; • To draft a treatment plan for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases) suffering from malignant disease of various organ systems and stages; • To recognize emergency conditions in oncology; • To institute an analgesic therapy plan for various organ system tumor cases, various intensities and etiologies of pain syndrome.

Skills

1.- to provide qualified emergency diagnostics and assistance to patients of various ages with various organ system tumors; - the ability to designate adequate analgesic therapy for patients post oncological therapeutic operations; - to assess treatment outcomes of various organ system cancer surgical treatment, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy.

Competences

1.- to provide qualified initial and emergency assistance to patients of various ages (with/without concomitant illnesses) with oncological diseases. - To formulate indications for surgical therapy, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases).
