About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in anesthesiology/reanimatology, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the transplantology specialty, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the transplantology specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.- cardiopulmonary resuscitation algorithm; - methods of ensuring airway patency: manual, airways, tracheal intubation, split bronchial intubation, laryngeal mask, intubating laryngeal mask, Combitube - artificial lung ventilation: mouth-mouth, mouth-nose, with Ambu manual ventilator, manually, using the face mask of the anesthesia machine; - respiratory and hemodynamic monitoring of the anesthetized and comatose patient, potential organ donor, etc. types of monitoring; - management of the potential organ donor, determination of brain death; - principles and stages of general and regional anesthesia in surgery and transplantology; - acute postoperative pain therapy.

Skills

1.- application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in practice; - diagnostics of critical conditions; - reading and interpretation of the results provided by the monitors; - work with a defibrillator-monitor; - correction of infusion therapy and electrolyte imbalance; - perform management of a potential organ donor.

Competences

1.Determination of indications / contraindications for obtaining organs from potential deceased donors determination of the necessary correction of therapy for maximum preservation of the functionality of potentially explantable organs determination of necessary investigations for planning organ donation
