About Study Course
Objective
To enable students to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge in outdoor and adventure activities (Nordic walking), according to the content of general education school studies.
Preliminary Knowledge
Knowledge of foreign languages at a sufficient level to understand the specialised literature, in English and also in Latvian. Anatomy, basic physiology.
Knowledge, skills and skills are required when starting the study course, in accordance with the standard of general secondary education in sport at last.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knows the facts, understands theories and patterns in outdoor and adventure activities (Nordic walking). Knows learning strategies, methods and techniques. Understands the ways in which learning performance is assessed and the criteria for determining it.

Skills
1.Uses various learning methods, techniques and study aids to master the content of the subject and develop general skills. Builds a supportive study environment, respecting the principles of confidentiality and privacy. Organises situations close to real life in the study process. Chooses appropriate methods for assessing learning achievements Nordic walking activities.

Competences
1.Creatively organizes the learning environment and selects appropriate teaching and learning resources for outdoor Nordic walking activities, integrating health and safety content, cross-curricular subject areas, transversal skills, and values. Critically selects and purposefully applies a variety of teaching methods, technologies, and methodological materials, adapting them to learners' needs and the intended learning outcomes.

2.Justifies the role of feedback, formative assessment, and summative assessment in achieving learning objectives and evaluating intended learning outcomes. Identifies and evaluates safety hazards and risks in different environments and situations during Nordic walking and other outdoor and adventure activities, applying appropriate safety measures.

|
Using lecture material and other sources of information, develop evaluation of his or her nordic walking technique (according to medium materials) by developing methodologies for improvement of the relevant technique (exercises, dosing), recommendations. Detailed evaluation criteria are specified in the e-studies. |
