About Study Course

Objective

To give an opportunity to get acquainted with 3D printing and its application in dentistry.

Preliminary Knowledge

Knowledge of informatics at the level of the secondary school program. It is preferable to take the study course FK_069 "IT basics" in advance.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will learn the digital workflow in dentistry, from intraoral scanning to 3D printing of finished medical products. They will deepen their knowledge of diagnostics, virtual treatment planning, creation of demonstration and diagnostic models, dental graves and restorative products.

Skills

1.Students will learn how to work with 3D medical device modeling software, design 3D objects and post-process finished products. They will gain experience using 3D printing equipment and practice post-processing medical devices.

Competences

1.Students will be prepared to independently develop - model and print dental products. They will be able to safely use 3D technologies to create high-quality and personalized products, and professionally manage the entire process from virtual planning to physical realization of the product.
